Help and safety

Buy and sell safely

A convincing message is not necessarily genuine. Pause before opening a link, sharing information or following payment instructions.

Signs that a message needs checking

Payment links and QR codes

Do not follow links or scan QR codes sent in a conversation to receive money, verify your card or pay an unlocking fee. Always check the order in your own account.

Pressure to act immediately

Account-blocking threats, promises of quick payment and requests to move the conversation elsewhere are reasons to pause. A sender’s name, photo or logo does not verify their identity.

Information that stays out of chat

Never share your password, PIN, card security code or confirmation codes from a text message or banking app. Do not send photos of your card or identity documents in conversations.

Check directly in your account

Open the site from a trusted bookmark or type the address into your browser. Do not use a suspicious message’s link to verify that same message.

The platform’s official domainhainevintage.ro

Check the exact domain in the address bar, not just the logo or link text. A similar name, a changed letter or HTTPS does not prove that a page belongs to the platform.

Look up the order status in “My orders”. Someone else’s screenshot is not proof of payment. Start any payment setup from your own account, not from instructions sent in chat.

Already opened a suspicious link?

A click does not automatically mean you have lost access to your account. Take action based on what you did on that page.

  1. Stop interacting

Close the page and do not send more information, money or codes. Do not install apps or allow remote access to your phone or computer at the sender’s request.

  2. If you entered a password

Change it on the affected service’s genuine website and on any other account where you reused it. Use a unique password. Enable two-step authentication where available; if you cannot sign in, use the official account recovery process.

  3. If you shared financial details or paid

Contact your bank immediately through its official app or the number on your card. Explain what happened and ask it to check transactions and protect your card or account. Recovering the money is not guaranteed.

  4. If you downloaded or installed something

Do not open the suspicious file. Update your system and security software, then run a scan. If you allowed access to your device, ask a trusted specialist for help and secure your accounts from a safe device.

Keep the messages, page address and transaction evidence for your bank or the authorities. Do not publish card details, passwords, codes or identity documents in screenshots you share.
